After a strong June shipment month, first half California wine volume to all markets reached a record 281 million gallons, up 2.3%. In the U.S., California wine shipments edged up 1.1% on top of a strong 3.6% gain last year that was partially inflated by inventory buildups. In addition, California wine exports recovered by 8% from a weak 2009 first half when exports sank 9%.
